I have made and dried the second set of wall pieces, and they are being fired to bisque this weekend. These have been quite complex to make, as I wanted to incorporate a hanging device that would not be visible, but would be strong and secure. I also wanted to support the piece so that it would not slump or crack. Joining the pieces without cracking was particularly difficult, and I had to be very patient in terms of drying. I did not want to pick them up before they were firmly joined, and risk ending up with six wall pieces instead of two. So far, everything looks good, so fingers crossed for their first firing.
